Let’s Talk About It
I host an online salon full of queers of all stripes who join me to discuss the joys and horrors of divorce. It’s not therapy. We are detailing our experiences, offering each other resources and trying to find levity while dealing with the agony.
Any given salon will vacillate between grief, exhaustion and tears mixed with Tik Tok jokes, nods of agreement, heart emojis and exclamations of gratitude for queer support.
About mortyI’m a trans and queer person who went through a divorce in 2020. I work as a psychotherapist, divorce coach and college instructor. Since my own divorce I have made it a priority to open up more space for queer divorce narratives to exist in the open.

The salon has taught me that queers should not be going through the trials of divorce and romantic breakups alone. We should be examining the richness of experience and learning from each other through these relational trials.
To the End Salon is ultimately a space to witness and support queer community.
